Idrys’ latest single “Butterfly Hands” demonstrates that the North Carolina native artist has not only mastered street-inspired martial arts, but also the ability to arrange sick melody, vocals, and lyrics with exceptional artistry.

What is emblematic for the LA-based singer-songwriter is his eccentric virtuosity in blending R&B and Hip-Hop elements. “Butterfly Hands” showcases he has a good ear for molding the genre, an endowment he has inherited both from his creative family background, and his appreciation for established artists such as Frank Ocean and The 1975.

The track, released on 3rd July 2020, explores a topic that is a first-timer for the musician. The art of “butterfly hands, make em fly when I want em to” presented in a more violent context is accentuated by the melody-driven beat, typical for Idrys’ “mood music” style, as he refers to it himself.

Idrys has presented us with a few on-point singles after the release of his debut mixtape “Coconut Water, but we are definitely ready to see a bigger project from the talented artist.
